GE and Fujitsu to partner on Japan T&D solutions
GE’s Grid Solutions and Fujitsu have announced an agreement to sell GE’s EnergyAPM, asset performance management solutions, in Japan.
Designed specifically for grid electrical assets, GE’s EnergyAPM helps T&D operators and industrials develop an intelligent performance strategy for managing electrical substations and equipment. By combining asset data with industry expertise, analytics, and connectivity, EnergyAPM’s suite of software services makes operations more reliable while minimizing the cost of ownership.
“This partnership with a leading Information and Communications Technology (ICT) company, brings together GE’s OEM expertise in grid asset performance management with Fujitsu’s systems integration, maintenance, and operations services, to offer T&D utilities full support in building and executing their digitalization projects,” said Alan Jones, Grid Services Leader at GE’s Grid Solutions.
Under the terms of the agreement, Fujitsu will sell GE’s enhanced EnergyAPM solutions in Japan to energy transmission and distribution operators, which will help support the digital transformation of Japan’s power industry, maintaining a safe and reliable energy infrastructure and the stable supply of electricity.
