SEWA completes maintenance on 183 substations

Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA) has completed periodic maintenance work for 183 electricity distribution stations with 33V across the cultural capital of the UAE.

In preparation for summer months, the utility provider has also implemented an extensive maintenance programme for electricity networks and transformers, according to the UAE’s state-held news agency, Wam.

Chairman of SEWA, Eng. Dr. Rashid Al Leem, said that SEWA has been working at full capacity to intensify the electricity networks in all regions of Sharjah.

Additionally, SEWA has also carried out continuous maintenance and follow-up of all stations and networks in accordance with the latest international standards.

Dr. Al Leem added that SEWA has also been preparing special programmes for the periodic and preventive maintenance of all its distribution stations and transformers each year from 15 October to 15 April.
