Uganda’s Rural Electrification Agency (REA) has received funds for the acquisition of supply and delivery of self-protected distribution transformers.

The REA has invited sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the transformers. There are three lots available for bidding.

Lot 1 includes a 50kVA/33kV and a 100kVA/33kV transformer. Lot 2 is for a 200kVA/33kV transformer and Lot 3 is for a 500kVA/33kV transformer.

Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open International Bidding (OIB) method contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is open to all bidders.

The deadline given for the bids is 20 March 2019.
